Black and Backless | Style Guide • The B Werd

I know what I previously said, but I’m back in black. I consider myself remotely conservative when it comes to style, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t sexy elements that can compliment that. Because I have a small chest and bras aren’t always necessary, I purchase a lot of backless items. No, backs aren’t the most revealing piece of skin but I love the quiet yet risque message you send when you go backless.

I was gifted this Zara dress years ago and it’s served as multi-purpose, accompanying me to everything from dinner parties to date night. You look completely dressed from the front but give off peek-a-boo sex appeal once you turn around. I love how complimentary the knee-length slim fit is even on a petite girl like myself.

I went with a pop of red because of the edgy leather detail of the dress. These are my first pair of Aquazzura heels and luckily I scored them on major sale at Barney’s because I couldn’t stomach paying the original price tag. They sold out quickly but they still have a ton of designer heels at almost 50% off. They’re such a light weight sandal so I plan to pair them with denim and short sets in the near future.
