One thing I love about summer is the opportunity to wear bright and bold colors. One thing I love about fashion is how simple pieces can make big statements. I so easily fall for bold pieces that make you feel confident, vibrant and of course, an outfit that turns heads in a complimentary way. When it comes to collaborations, it’s so important for me to be selective with who I choose to stand with and share with you all. I’m always sure to take the time out to research whether or not their views are in line with mine and how they’ve handled what many brands run from addressing. Express is one of the brands who gets supporting inclusivity across the world right. In celebration of Pride Month, Express has partnered with GLAAD and Out Magazine to release its first “Love Unites” collection, which features 35 all-gender pieces that speak to unity and individuality. The brand is pledging 25% of net income from the collection to GLAAD to accelerate acceptance of the LGBTQ+ community.

On top of supporting GLAAD, they give so many amazing women the opportunity to create their own collections. Style blogger Rocky Barnes partnered with Express to create the perfect summer collection for women always on the go. This Whether you’re looking for adorable vacation and resort looks, or just need a new outfit for the weekend, these pieces are perfect. This button front tie waist twill romper is one of my favorite pieces designed by Rocky and it comes in two bold colors perfect for summertime. There are so many other pieces in this particular collection worth shopping like this silky floral kimono dress, these high waisted leopard print shorts, and this front button jumpsuit.
She also created this perfect pair of leopard print vinyl slide-on heels and I can’t get enough of them. Although vinyl heels have been on trend for a long time, I’d been so hesitant to purchase them. The leopard print on these gave me the small amount of detail I needed to pull the trigger. They’re muted enough to wear with a hot pink romper, but busy enough to dress up a simple outfit, like denim and a tank.

Another easy way to make a summer statement is with bell bottoms! I picked up this pair and wore them during date night with a crop top and open toe heels. I felt like a blast from the past, but I also felt SO chic! Express has so many good bell bottom options on their site and in store. I’m 5’5 and the length was perfect for me.
