It’s Friday Eve and this week (and year) have flown by! The work week after a holiday is always tough for me and tomorrow will be the first day of December and also Nate’s birthday. I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve that should surprise him, so make sure you follow along on my Instastories. I have so much coming up before the New Year including my company holiday party, final projects at work and of course Christmas. My main focus for the remainder of the year is the How To Start a Blog Webinar I promised you guys I would work on. My 2018 goals don’t only involve expanding The B Werd, but also assisting all of y’all in expanding your own goals and visions.
As you all know, we spent last Saturday at Hotel Alessandra here in downtown Houston. I wore this outfit for drinks up at the hotel pool. When the sun is beaming, the jacket isn’t necessary. But as soon as it starts to set, the temperature drops significantly. I’d had my eyes on this suede moto jacket ever since last years Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I waited almost a year for it to go on sale and it never did, so I finally gave in and bought it full price. It was definitely worth it. The quality of this jacket is unreal.
Leather moto jackets make me feel like a bad ass, but suede moto jackets make me feel a bit more luxe. Having a rich pop of color takes any outfit up a notch. This particular jacket comes in 7 shades and I had such a hard time deciding between the shade I got and the burgundy one. I love the fact that I can put on all black and throw this jacket on top of it.
I was on the hunt for some suede over-the-knee boots that wouldn’t slip. My legs and thighs are pretty slim and I’ve encountered so many problems with boots not staying up while wearing them and nothing is more annoying than tugging at boots while you’re walking. I found this black pair from Sole Society that had back tie details, which made me feel much more comfortable in case my legs happened to be too skinny. Stuart Weitzman is the only designer I’ve seen implement back tie’s onto their boots and I couldn’t afford them with wedding planning LOL.
This particular pair is sold out except for in one size, but I found some similar options here, here and here. My jeans are Joe’s and are currently on sale. My knit sweater is a favorite of mine and is from H&M, who has 10% off of everything today. Use code 9054!
I’m going to work on #CoffeeTalk questions this evening and it may be a short one due to all I’ve got going on. Last chance to get your questions over to me via DM or email!
