I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable New Years! I spent mine at the Rockets game then a friends house party in the ‘burbs. My friend Anais and I threw a New Years Day party that was a blaaaast. My feet still hurt from it. I’m randomly headed to Vegas this weekend for 36 hours of fun with my girlfriends Ciera and Dina so I suppose the celebration will continue. I’ve began January in the best way and plan to keep it that theme going.
I’ve always loved a denim on denim look, but struggled with piecing it together correctly. My denim was either off too many shades, or not complimentary of one another. Do you tuck your shirt in or leave it out? It could easily get complicated and it’s more difficult than you’d think. Pairing denim together is like looking for two shoes that match at different stores lol. For my figure in particular, I found boyfriend jeans most flattering with my button-down. It gave the impression of a one-piece jumpsuit, which I’ve opted for multiple times before considering styling a Canadian Tux.
This wool Ralph Lauren peacoat is a closet classic and is currently on sale at Nordstrom. I purchased it during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale last year and haven’t been able to find a similar coat anywhere else. These AG denim jeans are the perfect pair. Because I’m so petite it’s easy to drown in boyfriend jeans, but these give me just the right amount of wiggle room without being too oversized. I can’t find the exact pair pictured here, but Nordstrom Rack has a very similar pair on sale for more than 50% off. I almost always check the outlet option for the same item before I purchase it from a retail store.
I have a backlog of Style Guides I plan to get posted sooner than later to get them out of the way. Did you guys get a chance to listen to The B Werd’s feature on The AntiHeroes podcast yesterday? If not, check it out here. It’s pretty entertaining, if I do say so myself lol.
