I am getting married in September and I am having such a hard time finding wedding day shoes. Can you give me a few looks for heels that are either rose gold or nude under 300 bucks. I love straps and bling is def OK as well.
Congratulations boo! I can’t even begin to imagine the stress I’d be under looking for shoes for my big day LOL here are a few different options for you. The ones that show up in black below come in nude as well and are gorgeous –
I’ve been following your blog since the beginning and never once have you posted about a man until now. I think I can speak on behalf of all of your readers who are soooo happy for you (since you’ve become our best friend in our heads lol)! What made this one special enough to settle down with?
After my last relationship I said I’d never post another man on my Instagram again LOL. One, I really don’t like people in my business and two, deleting my ex’s photos off my social media pained me in a way I didn’t want to experience again. I was good friends with my current boyfriend for almost a year and never saw him in that light until recently. Being friends with him prior allowed me to see the real him so I already knew how kind and caring. I also knew his flaws because as friends, we didn’t hide anything from one another or try to impress each other. He allows me to be me and vice versa and he values me on an unexplainable level. He’s supportive, a great partner who picks up the slack in any area I lack and a selfless person. Men like him are hard to find and one just happened to cross my path, so yeah… Pretty special! LOL
I am currently working on getting myself straight. Now I’m not rock bottom, but not where I want to be. I am currently trying to eliminate debt, find a better job, purchase my first home, all while trying to travel and save money. And let me tell you… it’s been hard. But just receiving my Master’s degree, and being where I am, I often get discouraged. Can you offer any advice on trying to achieve all these goals? You look to have it together, and I aspire to be on that level.
Understand that it’s a process and won’t happen in a day, or even a year. Take things one at a time and be strategic about what order to do it in so that you end up in a better position and not taking five steps back. You just got a Master’s, that’s a BIG accomplishment. Don’t be too hard on yourself! The rest of the things you’re wanting to do are definitely attainable. The first thing I’d focus on is getting a better job. A more enjoyable better paying job will give you more wiggle room to do the rest of the things you want to do. Create a plan to eliminate debt based off of income and what you’re able to cut out every month. Travel isn’t expensive when done correctly and I can honestly said it aided in discovering myself. Use apps like SkyScanner to find cheap flights and take advantage of AirBNB and Hotel Tonight. I look to have it all together because I set my mind to getting it all together and work towards it every single day. I get discouraged too, but it doesn’t last long. Keep pushing towards what you envision for yourself!
Now that you’re working with clients and offering services how does it affect your schedule? I know balance was something you talk about often but you make adding more to your plate look easy.
Balance is still something that changes daily for me. When things pick up at my 9-5 my focus shifts, when I’m on deadlines with brand audits, my focus shifts, when my to-do list frees up, I get back to the things I said I wanted to do but haven’t had time to like creating my next workbook or designing other merchandise I want to get onto the site. The other day I mentioned how I used to always tell myself I didn’t have anything to do when I had free time. Now I literally always have something I could be doing. I use up all my free time and the best thing about being the boss of my own blog and brand is the fact that I make my own schedule and take my own days off. If I don’t get to it today, I can rearrange what I need to take care of tomorrow. It’s all about prioritizing what needs to be done now and what can be done when you have the time to.
So I’m attending a friend’s party in early August & it is a lingerie party. I have no earthly idea what to wear! I would like something that’s fun, flirty,& pink but also classy & elegant (just in case I choose to snap it up for instagram.) Do you have any ideas or websites I can visit to get something to wear?
That sounds like a lot of fun, I love themed parties. Lingerie is essentially sexy pajamas LOL so here are some things I’d be comfortable in below. Consider getting a robe you can tie up or wear over to make sure you’re comfortable.
You’re coming to my city (Dallas) to speak on a panel and I’m going to be out of town! Did you ever have a fear of public speaking and if so, how did you get over it?
Aw, I’m sorry you missed it! It was a good time. I can’t say I’ve ever had a fear of public speaking, not much truly intimidates me but I will say it wasn’t always comfortable. I speak to small “crowds” all the time at work, specifically all male so that got my feet wet. The first time I ever spoke independently in regards to my brand in front of a crowd was at the Baddie Brunch event I hosted. There was about 60 women there and although that may seem nerve-wracking I had to remind myself that the women who chose to come knew I was speaking when they purchased their tickets. They’re looking to hear what I have to share and likely wouldn’t buy a $60 ticket to boo me off of a stage. Once I became comfortable with the information I was pouring into others, my nerves seem to ease. I trust that what I’m saying is going to provide value so I’m not timid behind it. If you wear your confidence, others will identify it. If you’re uncertain about what you’re saying, that will be apparent too.
I’m looking for a floral dress to wear to a wedding in August. Any suggestions?
Yes ma’am, have fun! See my picks below –
I’m sorry for the late and short Coffee Talk, but I’m running off a couple hours of sleep and have 100 things to accomplish before 5 p.m. Please leave questions for next week down below or shoot them over to me via email. Have a great weekend!
