I’m looking for an affordable (and cute) pair of black, strappy heels. Can you please help?
Of course I can! Black strappy heels are a staple in a woman’s wardrobe. Here are some affordable and cute options for you –
I, like yourself, work in a corporate work environment. Maybe you’ve experienced a similar situation, but I work with someone that I can not stand! LOL… you might think I am exaggerating, but no lie, I’m not. This person is very difficult work with, rude, and nosey as hell. At first, I thought it was just me, but it seems that he has issues with other coworkers, as well. I am the type of person that has a very hard time hiding my emotions. Although I try to remain professional, it is difficult for me to mask my disdain for this individual. Have you dealt with anything similar? What advice would you give those of us that are in this type of situation?
I promise reading this I thought you were going to be talking about a girl. That’s a really unfortunate situation because disliking people you have to work with can really take the enjoyment out of your job. If you want to take matters into your own hands, I would address him. I honestly haven’t experienced this situation before because I think I’m very upfront with what I will and will not tolerate from others. I definitely am not open to any disrespect and will put anyone in their place who tries to cross my personal boundaries. You can remain a professional and still let someone know that you all are coworkers, not friends and he needs to treat you as such. It’s even worth attempting to ignore him. If that’s not a route you want to take, consider speaking with your manager or someone in HR about how this person is detrimental to your work environment and see what options are available to have the problem addressed.
Can you pleeeease share the recipe for the shrimp and okra creole you posted on your Instastory yesterday?
I make this for Thanksgiving because it serves so many and I always end my night with an empty pot. I buy frozen shrimp, andouille sausage, and a bag of frozen okra (you can use fresh everything but I don’t). In a pot, I saute onion and bell pepper with cajun seasoning then cook my shrimp for a few minutes until pink. Remove the shrimp and set them aside. In the same pot, add your sausage and brown it a bit, then add your thawed out okra until it softens. Season to your taste. I use cayenne, black pepper, onion and garlic powder, and some Tony’s or Slap Ya Mama seasoning. Add a can of crushed tomatoes and two cans (or more depending on how much okra, sausage and shrimp you have) of tomato sauce then season some more. Put the lid on the pot and let it simmer on low for 30 minutes. Add the shrimp back in and simmer for five more minutes then you’re all done. I always serve it over rice (white or brown) or quinoa. That’s it!
I’m finally back on the dating scene after a 2 and a half year haitus and I’m seeing this one guy pretty regularly. Since I’ve been out of the loop, can you please share some date night ideas with me? I’m finally excited about someone and want to feel confident and sexy but still comfortable when I’m out with him.
Get it girl! I always know whether or not I’m into someone by whether or not I get excited to get dressed when they ask me out Lol that’s a dead set tell-all in my book. Make him take you salsa dancing so you can wear this sexy two-piece skirt and top combo LOL. This backless bodysuit would be really cute with a pair of jeans and heels or a pencil skirt. I’m in love with the sleeves of this blouse, so I bought it for my own date night. Here are a few different options depending on whether you want to stay more casual or dress it up a bit.
Have you ever been to NYC? I’ll be visiting for my birthday and wanted to know what are the best things to do/best places to EAT?! because we allll know nothing matters more than the food LOL.
Yep I’ve visited a few times. You definitely want to do things like visit Top of The Rock, The Statue of Liberty Tour, Central Park, The Empire State Building, Central Park (bike riding is scenic there) and the Metropolitan Museum. Some of my favorite places to eat were Shake Shack (don’t judge, we didn’t have one in Houston yet) Beauty and Essex, Di Fara Pizza, and Cheesecake from Juniors. Don’t get too hung up on “must eat places” because some of the best finds you will just walk into off of the street. That’s what makes exploring NYC so fun. Enjoy!
Where can I find some bomb floor length dresses?
A few of my favorite places to shop for those are ASOS, Missguided and Revolve. They have so many good options, they’re easy to find and usually not too pricey. Right up my alley! See my picks below –
