As most of you know I was on LA last week for a friend’s birthday and didn’t make it home until late Sunday evening. My week’s consisted of meetings, blog work and successfully getting 10 of my VP’s to Salt Lake City for a ski trip with 15 of our biggest clients. I’m not ashamed to say that my luggage from this past weekend is still packed and sitting by the door or that Friday can’t get here quick enough. Luckily tonight we’ll be hosting some clients in a cook-off Tent at the rodeo. That’ll allow me a couple of cocktails to take the edge off of my week LOL.
This particular outfit was one of my favorites for the few days of cold that we’ve had this season. I caved and purchased some crushed velvet items including this bodysuit and two dresses from ASOS. What I like most about them are how simple they are, but look detailed solely because of the fabric. I found this purple bodysuit in Nordstrom Rack and instantly qualified it as a basic; meaning that I can pair it with something simple like jeans or a skirt and have a complete outfit. Sold.
Express recently had a huge sale prior to Christmas where I scored this cropped faux black fur for $100. One thing about a faux fur, is the instant glam that’s added to whatever you wear it with. For the first time this year, I’ve added a couple to my wardrobe and have not a single regret. This leather pencil skirt was also bought in store at Express. I tried it on hoping it wouldn’t fit because it was more than I wanted to spend, but since it fit like a glove, it came home with me. I get a lot of questions about this lipstick on Instagram. It’s Instigator by MAC and can be purchased here.
Now… Off to get one more cup of coffee before my next meeting 😉
