I’m in complete disbelief that today is the first day of the last month of the entire year. What have I done and where has the time gone? It’s so easy for me to bounce back and forth between burnt out and inspired on a daily basis (or hourly), but it comes with the territory. One thing is for sure, I have a lot more work to do. As far as plans, I’ll be wrapping up the fourth quarter at work with a themed holiday party followed by a two-week vacation, hosting a Friendsgiving while making vision boards (which I suggest for every single one of you) and finishing two books on my radar. I’ll also be prepping for the new year, setting new goals, tweaking plans to begin 2017 on the highest note and lastly, enjoying the cooler weather.
Y’all know that I adore warmer temperatures and will go for every opportunity to show a daring yet appropriate amount of skin. I have to admit that I’m looking forward to being fully dressed for the next couple of months. I have so many jackets, coats and new pairs of denim that I need to squeeze in before it’s 100 degrees again. This satin Ralph Lauren silk blouse has been on heavy rotation for both work and play. It’s so soft andĀ easily transition from a pencil skirt or slacks to a pair of denim. This particular pair are Joes Jeans, which I found at Saks Off 5th for under $100. Ironically, Amazon has every size in stock, along with this pair of L.A.M.B. heels. Who knew they sold clothing?
Remember the western style belt I contemplated on for six months? LOL, I finally bought it and have been wearing it with ev-ery-thing. The double buckle is just enough accessory for me. When the temperature drops, I instantly think of dark lips. I keep deep reds, purples and vamp blacks on hand throughout Winter. They have the capability to spice up the simplest outfit. Have any of you tried Kylie’s lip kit shades? I’m considering ordering some. Let me know which are worth it!

Hey Courtney!!
Girl, this casual slay is everythaaang. Your glam looks are gorg, but I especially love to see the more casual side with fab accessories (probably because I’m casual LOL). Even the Nike Funnel sweater post was awesome (and I bought one thanks to Bwerd).
I would love to see a vision board post. I have actually never made one, but that would be great to view in my house as a daily reminder for inspiration. Can you post about it exclusively? š
Also whoever your photographer is for this shoot, they definitely did you justice with the contrast of colors. The steel gray of the buildings really makes your white blouse and jeans POP. Great post per usual. š

Thanks so much Sanniyah! <3
First off you’re gorgeous! I can’t ever get myself to wear dark lips. I love how you paired your dark lip with neutral colors. So cute yet simple.
