Serving Tray | Champagne Flutes | Wine Glasses | Coasters | Candle
We still have gifts arriving at our door and I’ve dedicated time the last few weekends to making sure we had a place to put them all. Gifts are my love language, so it’s only natural that getting all these gifts excites me beyond words. We accumulated big items little by little and had most of what we already needed like nice bedding, crock pots and air fryers, and big decor items. But we definitely did not have things like matching plush towels, plates and nice glasses or a full set of pots and pans. A handful of items that we received I’ve loved more than I thought I would and am so surprised and how much small items can add to your home.
Luckily, we weren’t in need of much so everything we received was a bonus. We registered at Target for much of our household items, and Crate and Barrel for some better dishes and glassware. Other registries I’d definitely recommend are Macy’s, and Amazon. Here are the items I’m so glad I received that you should definitely put on your house warming or wedding registry. I actually love them so much that I’d encourage you to buy them for yourself for no reason at all, or for anyone enjoying a housewarming.
Quality Wine + Champagne Glasses
My wine and champagne glasses are easily one of the favorite things I received. They’re unique, simple but still feel like such a luxury when I use them. Will it mean I’ll likely be having wine and champagne more often? Maybe so. But at least I’ll enjoy drinking it every time.
A Gallery Wall
This was a gift I would’ve bought for myself had I not gotten it, because I was wanting them so badly. Gallery walls have been some of my favorite kind of decor for years. It can be placed to where you can fill an entire space with personal moments, instead of searching for art. I chose black frames because well, there are really only 3 colors in our home. There are 9 frames and they’re the space size to fill an entire wall. Now, to search for the photos I’m planning to fill them with.
Nice Bath Towels
Having nice bath towels are a luxury you didn’t know you needed. They are a small change that upgrades your entire shower or bath experience. Our guests have even commented on how nice our towels are. We only had the few towels that Nate had since he first moved out. They were rough and an assortment of colors, so we were definitely past due. Purchasing towels can add up quickly at $20+ a towel, so putting them on your registry is always a good idea. We went with these towels and chose white (I really love bleaching my towels when I have the options) and two different shades of gray to go with the rest of our home and they’ve held up well.
A Rolling Laundry Cart
I might be late but… This has changed the laundry game for us. Before, we each had our own laundry basket. So when it was time to wash, we’d have to separate all the clothes in both baskets, and it’d leave piles everywhere until all the laundry was done. With three separators, it’s made it so easy for Nate to quickly drop his clothes in the proper bin and go. And it’s chic, with black baskets and chrome rods!
A Statement Cake Stand
Even if you’re not a woman who’s that comfortable in the kitchen, or a baker, a statement cake stand is a beautiful piece you can sit out with sweet treats piled inside. I especially love this for when I host, where I’ll pile cookies or donuts inside. Also around holidays, having Easter or Christmas themed treats in them make your home feel that much more festive.
The Prettiest Pots + Pans Set
This set of pots & pans excited me as I opened the box. My sister was the one who suggested them when they finally gave in to buying a full set after almost 6 years. They’re seriously gorgeous to look at, come in a few colors, and work like they cost twice as much. I don’t think we could’ve found a more gorgeous set that performs this well for the same price. We also received a few other pots and pans like a cast iron, a grill and a few others that I love and will link below.
A Good Coffee Maker
Out of all of the appliances we have stored in our kitchen, I use this one most. I couldn’t wait til our wedding to purchase my Nespresso, but it would have made an excellent gift. I rotate between my french press, Nespresso and older Kuerig since Nate typically likes a more simple cup of coffee + cream.
Gorgeous Coffee Cups
If you’re going to be indulging in nice coffee, you’ll want a gorgeous cup to drink it out of. My favorite mugs are these clear glass ones, I received a set of 8. Also, these white Espresso cups with saucers (they come in 4 colors). Sitting with them alone almost makes me feel like I’m in Europe.
Flatware
The right set of flatware can even make eating a bowl of cereal feel luxurious. We got this set of heavy handled silverware off of our registry and love them. I would’ve loved to do a set of black flatware, or even rose gold.
Glass Storage Containers
I’ve noticed the plastic containers we had would sometimes make our food taste…. plastic? We received a few sets of glass storage containers and I’ve found a way to squeeze almost everything in our pantry into them. From tea, to rice, to granola. It’s all out of the package and into the glass containers.
A Nice Serving Tray
We were gifted a stunning sterling silver Ralph Lauren serving tray and it was the one gift we didn’t know we needed. Whether you’re passing around glasses, or desserts, it changes the entire presentation.
A Quality Candle
My favorite candles of all time are these Rewined candles in Pinot Grigio and Rose. These are $30 candles that I don’t always want to spend my money on, but will always appreciate having lit at home. Consider putting pricier candles on your registry. They really make a quiet morning in bed with a cup of coffee, or a comfy evening on the couch with a glass of wine more enjoyable.
