Fitness is something natural. When I first decided that I was going to take my health and fitness serious, it didn’t stick. I always had an excuse. I didn’t have time for the gym, or there wasn’t one close enough to me. Eating healthy was ridiculously priced and not flavorful. I’d do it, but wouldn’t see results and would instantly feel like whatever I had done the previous week was in vain. Realistically, getting into shape required changes in all areas of my life and it also required me to learn a lot about what actually works – from what foods will give me what I needed to the shoes that were best for whatever activity I was planning to do. Now that I’ve gotten over the hump of making fitness work for my life, I so easily incorporate it into everything I do on a daily basis. Don’t get me wrong – I still love pizza, burgers, and fries, but balance is key and anything done in moderation can be handled.
One of the most important things that have changed my journey is being able to wear my workout gear in everyday settings, which allows me to create a workout anywhere. Whether I’m at home, or at the park, I’ve accumulated some exercises I know will get my heart rate up so that I can break a sweat and what will push my muscles so they get a good burn. I keep a jump rope, a yoga mat, two 10 lb dumbbells and resistance bands in my trunk. It takes up minimal space and allows me to workout in a park or in a friends driveway if need be. What makes my workouts the most efficient, is having the right fitness wardrobe. What also makes me want to get dressed and get active, is having the right fitness wardrobe. We all know cute workout clothes make it easier to get into the gym, and I’m sure we’re all guilty of creating cute “athleisure” looks with running shoes and yoga pants just to run around town while completing errands, so why not pick transitional pieces? I mean putting on the right shoes, the right pants or shorts that provide proper support, along with a sports bra that can handle being the focus of your outfit and also intense workouts. I was able to get a workout in and have my grocery shopping completed by 11 am Sunday morning because it’s become easy for me now.
I can always depend on Nike to give me quality and longevity, which are two things I look for when I invest into fitness pieces. This Nike Impact Strappy Women’s High Support Sports Bra is the best purchase I’ve made in months. I personally prefer adjustable straps on sports bras since so many of them can dig into your shoulders. The best part about the straps is that they can be spread out or put together for different design options. It’s also designed for a custom fit and natural range of motion during your workout. The padding is perfect and won’t leave you exposed if you walk into a coffee shop or grocery store after. I loved the wine color, but it comes in five others. I’ve also been living in these Sculpt Lux High Rise Training Tights. Not only do they sculpt to your figure, the high and tight suction on the waist really does help you perfect your form during movements.
You all have known Nike Flyknits are my go-to shoe, but I was skeptical of the style of these Nike Free TR Flyknit 3’s since they’re training shoes. The comfort and support surpasses any pair I have at home and they make it easy to be worn around for errands throughout the day.
The benefit of having transitional pieces like this Nike sports bra for me is, getting everything done that needs be taken care of in one sweep. The more confident I feel in my workout clothing, the more comfortable I feel wearing them from the gym, to the coffee shop, to Target or the grocery store. I’m always looking for more efficient ways to make sure I stay on track. Share how you fit fitness into your lifestyle with me below!
