Monochromatic Pinks | Style Guide

I wish I could say that all of the outfits I put together are solely based off of my own taste and creativity. While I generally tend to stay within the lines of what I’m comfortable with, I try to stay open to inspiration. My friend Angela’s go-to look always seems to be monochromatic. Whether it’s grays, nudes or white it always looks amazing. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m stuck in my ways or not used to the concept, but I didn’t think I could recreate it for myself. My attempt to pull it off allowed me to feel comfortable since the monochromatic pink pieces were close enough to nudes but I can’t lie, I’d love a bold red or navy look.

This suede skirt is from Tavie Mavie Boutique here in Houston. I love everything about it; the fact that it’s split in the front, the perfect girly color and the fit (wearing an XS). As soon as I got it, I knew I’d save it for a monochromatic look. Forever21 was carrying a special line of Love Me Not bodysuits that sold out quickly, but I was able to snag this lace eyelet one-piece to match. The only con of buying from F21 is product inconsistency. Some items I get cost $7 and are perfect, but this one was $50 and had a difficult zipper which made it extra difficult to put on. This satin Missguided trench was such a good purchase. It’s oversized so even the 2 is roomy enough to fit over dresses but also fancy enough to dress up denim and a tank top. They currently have a 50% sale off the entire site using code “LITAF”.

I’m in total disbelief that we’re approaching THE LAST month of 2016. I have a short work week but a ton of work to get done on top of compiling some Black Friday and Cyber Monday wishlists for y’all.
