We are anxiously anticipating the arrival of my sister Christian’s third baby. She has two boys already and tried for a girl, only to remain the only woman in the house. Nonetheless, we are so so excited to see baby Isiah’s face and sniff him! Am I the only one who loves the way newborns smell? LOL! He’s due on December 1st, the day of our traditional, so as you can imagine we are so anxious and nervous about his arrival. Since this is my sister’s third baby, she insisted she did not want to have a baby shower but we persisted. Finally, she gave in to the idea of a “small” baby shower and we planned it all in less than a month.
Planning events is a huge part of my career, so it’s easy for me to run through an event from A to Z in my head. From the guest list to decor to the items we can’t forget to bring, like tape and scissors, I can knock it out pretty easily. I decided on a Bohemian Chic baby shower for her, since she’d already decorated his room in a cute black and white Where the Wild Things Are theme. The majority of the decor came off of Amazon, but I did pick up some other items from local art supply stores like Michaels, Target and grocery stores.
The more events I plan, the more detail oriented I get because I realize how tiny details make things so much more special. This “simple” baby shower quickly turned a little fancier with every cute item I found that I felt we had to have. The teepee for his gifts, the take-home succulents for our guests and even the tiny gold spoons for the build-your-own yogurt parfaits were non-negotiable.
For anyone planning a baby shower, or even a bridal shower, I went ahead and rounded up all of the items I purchased because I know you all will ask 😉 If you need any other information about desserts, caterers or anything else, leave me a comment! I’m happy to help!

You did an amazing job! Such a beautiful theme. I love the succulents as a take home gift for the guests. Congratulations to your sister and family on the new addition <3.

Thank you so much Ada! I’m so mad I didn’t get a succulent for myself but I honestly would’ve probably killed it LOL! Thank you for reading <3
This was so beautiful! You did an amazing job!
Thanks Nykita girl! So glad it’s over LOL
This is so beautiful! Great job! Could you please tell me who catered the cake/desserts? Congratulations to your sister and her family.
Thank you so much Paige! The cake is from Tout Suite, and we picked up the donuts from Krispy Kreme before the event. The macaroons were also from Tout Suite but we made the tower ourselves. Homemade cupcakes with cake toppers off of Amazon 🙂
Great job!!! Soooooo when are you adding “Event Planner” to your already successful brand???
It’s so funny you mention that because I also took her maternity photos. Just because I’m good at all these things doesn’t mean I want to do them often! LOL only special occasions 😉
Your attention to detail is really amazing Courtney, I loved the theme and everything. I pray your sister doesn’t deliver on the day of your traditional, but if so… what a way to bring in a beautiful bundle of joy! Blessings!
I really have my fingers crossed that he’ll come around the 15th. I’ve been saying it! I don’t want to have to miss his birth and I don’t want to have to miss the wedding! LOL Thank you for reading 🙂
Gorgeous! You did such a great job! Would you mind telling me where you found the mini succulents? I’ve been looking for something similar for my best friend’s baby shower and haven’t had much success.
Hey Brittany! It wasn’t easy, cause local succulents were pricey and added up so quickly! I got two trays of them from this site https://mountaincrestgardens.com/wholesale-succulents/, but I had to buy the little tins for them and replant them, so it was a bit tedious. All worth it in the end though! 🙂
Ohhh ok! That def sounds tedious but you’re right, it’s worth it. Thank you so much!
This baby shower was adorable! But girl where’d you get that dress
Beautiful job!!! !
