If I’m spending time in front of a computer during my work day, these sites are guaranteed to be typed into my browser. Here’s a list of my favorite sites that I visit daily and why –
News:
TheSkimm.Com – I get all the current news I need to know in order to stay informed without having to watch the actual news, which I loathe. The quick detailed snippets are refreshing, getting you exactly what you need to know without you having to search for it. Not to mention they also speak “sarcasm” which is my first-language. I suggest you to subscribe to their daily emails so that you too can have something relevant to talk about by the time your first morning meeting starts. Smart conversation is so chic.
Fashion & Lifestyle:
Cupcakes and Cashmere – I’ve been visiting this site for years. I’ve watched her get engaged, married, and have her first baby. Not to mention launch her own clothing, nail polish and bedding collaborations, which is pretty damn cool considering it all started with a tiny little blog. Her style is much different than mine but that doesn’t mean there aren’t things I can’t take from her posts.
SomewhereLately – Two girls, one blog. One blonde, one brunette. One in Chicago, one in New York. Most of their posts are fashion and beauty related which can be a little dull to me, but it’s great for browsing when you need some style inspiration. They’re both in their late 20’s so it’s all relatable, aside from them having kids and significant others LOL.
Motivation:
Ted Talks – I’ve been listening to Ted Talks since college and I’ve retained so much useful information – from how your body language makes you actually feel more confident to what drives consumers to believe in your brand. There are a handful of Ted Talks that I listen to over and over again that I will share with y’all on a separate post because they’re just that good.
Forbes – I enjoy Forbes because as soon as you get to their site, they greet you with an inspirational quote. I generally go straight to Forbes Woman to see what other business women are up to or what we’re having to deal with. Like men being offered a higher salary for the same position as women 69% of the time. Read about that bullshit here.
Oprah – I visit this site specifically because I’m a huge fan of Oprah’s “Super Soul Sundays”. It has much more of a spiritual, energetic feel that I try to practice. I love hearing about how other people ventured through success, what their beliefs are and what I can apply to my own life. It’s easy for me to let the videos run while I’m at my desk, giving me quick snippets of inspiration and tranquility.
What are your daily favorites? Share below, xx.

Youtube is a site that I visit on a daily. I enjoy watching videos that are posted by people who ‘appear’ to be fearless. I aspire to be able to consistently post videos about topics that interest me as well, but the mix of fear + laziness have caused me to fall short in this area.
This is why I enjoy reading your blog. You talk about meaningful topics that I feel I can relate to and you’re consistent. You motivate me to get started, in order to actually see my dreams come to life.
