It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a Style Guide but I’ve been so busy working in other areas. Every single week I receive a #CoffeeTalk question regarding weddings and what to wear to them, so it’s obvious that wedding season is here. I’ve personally been to more weddings this year than ever before and have had to buy at least six dresses. Houston summer weddings are steamy, especially if the cocktail or reception area is outdoor. Although black dresses are always my favorite, they’re not always the best or most comfortable choice for this Texas heat.
I got this dress from Missguided, who has been getting all of my money as of late. They’re actually have a 30% off sale right now using code “ALLAMERICAN”. The only issue is that you have to move quickly on the items that you like because they sell out fast. I’d also gotten this asymmetrical black dress for Siggi + Martellus’ wedding a few weeks ago from Missguided and it also sold out the day after I posted the link for it. They really are a one-stop-shop for dresses, swimwear and even small items like bodysuits and bralettes.
In this post I did last year, I talked about the unspoken wedding rules I try and stick to such as not wearing white or even cream and certainly not trying to upstage the bride (sequins, bright colors) unless she requests that of her guests. Off the shoulder, lace, backless and plunge dresses are good options for a sexy look without being too revealing.

I absolutely LOVE MissGuided! They have some of the most gorgeous pieces at an affordable price. And because I’m frugal to my soul, it’s perfect for me. Lol!

I’ve spend a ridiculous amount of money with them in the past couple of months but everything is so cute and cheap! Like, how can I say no? LOL
