The number one thing that I’m looking forward to once our wedding is out of the way is having the wiggle room to focus on really decorating our home. Months ago, I ordered a few things from CORT to fill up the rooms I knew needed to be complete without having to make a permanent decision on the furniture I was selecting and I couldn’t have been more pleased. We knew this year we’d want to host for the holidays and needed a completed living area and guest bedroom. I love playing around with small additions to rooms, whether it’s changing out a piece of art or a side table – it can truly change the entire feel of the space.
The lease for some of the items in our living room will be expiring soon, so I’m weighing what changes I want to make to get the exact look I’m wanting for the new year. CORT has so many options when it comes to designing a room, which is what makes it so easy to work with them. We have a second living area upstairs that I’m planning on making my next project and have been playing around with different design ideas. I’m playing around with a few different room options that CORT offers to get a feel for what will work best in the space that we have, along with the decor in the remainder of the house. As busy as our year is going to start, it makes me so much more comfortable to be able to place a rental order online, get hassle free delivery to my door and set up without me having to lift a finger.
Gray + Gold Tones
Our house is 90% white, black, gray and silver except for in our bedroom where we have a hint of green. I think it might be fun to add a little bit of a gold tone upstairs with a rug or some throw pillows. A large hanging mirror will also make the space look larger and brighter.
White, Black + Chrome Tones
I love this set because it matches our current living room best. We actually have two of the white chairs and are still in love with them. The cut out side tables and wire chair are my favorite since the upstairs will be used more for hosting and less of an everyday sitting area.
White + Gray Tones
This room has such a clean, yet masculine look to it which may work best since the living area is right in front of Nate’s media room. I’m also thinking of adding a mini bar upstairs with glasses, liquor and a small fridge to cocktails can be prepared without having to come downstairs.
