While everyone else across America was experiencing a blizzard, the weather was perfect here in the great state of Texas. So perfect that I could bare my belly but still not overheat in a coat. Specifically this wool Ralph Lauren car coat I got from Nordstrom. I’ve been trying to ween myself of wearing so much black, so the majority of my newest purchases have been neutrals. Daring right?
I rarely ever shop in stores so the first time trying most of my purchases on are after I’ve already paid for them. I purchased this camel coat in a 2P and was pleased that it fit me a bit more flattering than it did the model. I love the boxy minimalism of it that still gives stylish simplicity to any outfit, which is why I paired it with a clean collared oxford. This is my first pair of Mother Denim but it won’t be my last. They fit like a glove and don’t stretch out after being worn all day. These shoes were on backorder foreverrrrr but it seems the Louboutin website has them back in stock in every size. So if you see them in my next couple of posts, don’t say I didn’t warn you, ha!
Sidenote: here’s a cool coat guide on the differences between 6 timeless coats and why this one isn’t a peacoat.

I have to say I have never been more inspired. I have seen you since pv days promoting skinny guy. You have always been very beautiful and also motivating from a far. Stumbling across your blog this morning has given me the fire I have needed. I have been down in the slums after having a baby and then getting married and “losing myself” but not realizing I’m gaining myself with better attributes. Reading and realizing I need to take care of myself first has made me not feel guilty. Sounds silly but having a child and a husband they go before me. But with your insure i know that’s just the opposite. I’ve read everything on your blog this morning and I have received the conformation I needed. Thank you keep up what your doing. Tomorrow you can inspire the world but today was my turn. Thank you be blessed!
Ashley, that means the world to me! Please don’t second guess yourself, you have what many women are still hoping to find – a family. Women are magic, they find the time everyday to take care of their families, work jobs and still follow their passions. You’re not alone! I pray you find the courage and discipline to go after what it is that you desire, you have greatness in you. Thank you for reading and God bless! <3
