Spring has sprung and in Houston and for us, Spring is three weeks we get before sweltering summer heat. I’m planning on doing away with 75% of my closet that consists of black and transition into lighter more feminine pieces. Florals for spring isn’t exactly groundbreaking but there’s without a doubt a fresh, modern and sophisticated take on an old-age favorite.
Over the last year I’ve collected a handful of coordinate outfits and they’ve easily become my favorite. For one, I don’t have to think much into what I’m going to pair with it. Second, I can easily mix and match the pieces with things I already own to create a completely different look.
This floral coordinate from Missguided was easy to say yes to. It’s bold, but soft with its pastel floral pallet. I like to make bold statements while maintaining quiet femininity. It’s a lightweight linen material that can be easily transitioned from day-to-night, spring-to-summer. I don’t regret this purchase one bit. I’ve thrown this blazer over work dresses and worn the pants separately with a solid color blouse.
These white mules were a Target purchase last year. While I’ve always been impartial to white heels, there was something sleek and sexy about these slide-on sandals. I can’t deny that I have a hard time finding items to wear them with so I haven’t taken them out as much as I would’ve liked to. A clean pair of cropped denim like this or this, or a midi dress is normally what I opt for with these.
