Vacation Gowns | Style Guide

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve returned, but I’m already having major Hawaii withdrawals. I’m not sure if it’s the peaceful view you get from any corner of the island, or coming back to a load of work that would take me weeks to complete, but I’m yearning for my next vacation already. If you haven’t already noticed, I love packing clothing in themes depending on where I’m going. Because I thought I was going to Mexico and not Hawaii, a lot of my clothes didn’t make the cut. Out of everything I wore while I was there, this red Missguided pleated gown had to have been my favorite. I don’t mind feeling overdressed, especially while I’m in paradise.

A sexy vacation gown is necessary regardless of location. It’s one item you should pack because there will always be somewhere to wear it to. I wore this one to breakfast + coffee around our resort and got so many compliments.  If we’re being honest, this dress would’ve worked in Greece, Mexico, Egypt or France right? LOL. It comes in three colors and I was so disappointed when the yellow was sold out in my size, but the red was definitely complimentary of my skin tone.

The open back and halter details make this dress perfect for a special occasion or birthday. I could’ve easily put it on with a pair of heels to dress it up for dinner or a night out. When shopping for the perfect vacation gown I typically look for something longer in length, flowy, and uniquely detailed like an open back or slit so that it’s memorable. I can almost always find what I’m looking for at ASOS, Missguided, H&M or Nordstrom.
